I've added a few more recent tracks that I have produced to the Music Production & Mixing page. I have also been putting together a new site, purely to showcase that stuff here if you are interested.

Currently working on the debut full length album from Mari Joyce.

I have plans to make some of my own music again this year. I'd really love to dedicate a week or so to it. Go somewhere to focus and not be distracted. Go somewhere to get into the headspace for writing and have the time and space to get through the frustrating first bit, the self doubt, the trial end error, the search for inspiration.

I  am proud to have been involved with these two lovely things - Astronomy Programmes by Birds of Hell and the 'LAND' EP by 'LK' - Both of which I had a hand in producing and released through Meat Fer Manners

New Single & Video from Birds of Hell

The second single I recorded with Pete Murdoch, a.k.a. Birds Of Hell was released on Friday on new-ish label Kamiokande. The track is called 'Hometown Rage' and you can download it here.

I also made this video for the track featuring Pete, at my house with a 'Cowboy Busy' toy Shotgun. 

It was great to be a part of the recording and video process for this one. I think we got the feel for both just right. 

Ben C Winn

Last night we had a party to launch a poetry book, a CD and a poster print by Ben C Winn. I'd been working for a while with Ben to pull together all of the tracks, poems, drawings etc etc so it was great to finally be able to get it out. The launch was great - loads of people came, we had the releases on sale, a mega cheap suggested donation bar, DJ Leroy Nockolds playing amazing 80's funk records and of course a live performance from Ben, which was brilliant and really well received.

The remaining EPs, poetry books and prints are on sale here if you'd like one. It's the very first physical release by Ben C Winn so if you're a fan, get one!

Tick the Box

Last night Chris and I finished and 'released' this new 3 track Lost Levels EP called 'Tick the Box'. You can download if for free (or more if you like) from our bandcamp page now...!

The Video for the first 'proper' Birds of Hell Single - 'Boa' appeared today.... 

I worked with Pete to Produce the music - It's coming out on 7" soon on a new label called Kamiokande - Check them out and buy the 7" when it's out... Date to be announced.

Here is the first of many tracks that I've been recording / producing with the brilliant Birds of Hell - It's called 'Let's Look Up' and at the moment is a free download, ahead of the first 'proper' single, which is following soon.

Works in progress

Just finished producing a new single for 'Birds of Hell' a.k.a Pete Murdoch of Sargasso Trio fame. It's called 'The Boa Constrictor song', or simply 'Boa' and it's due out later in the summer on a new label called 'General Records'. It's one of my favourite things I've done so far I think, and quite different from anything I've done before. I'll post it up when it becomes available though I'm sure anyone that reads this will probably hear it before I get round to actually sticking it up here.
